Earl Township Park

The Earl Township Board of Supervisors are happy to announce that the kitchen facilities connected to Pavilion A have had a major renovation. There are new work tables, shelf space, new paint and new appliances. We also have new picnic tables in all the pavilions. Please call our office if you are interested in renting any of the pavilions.

The Earl Township Park, located on Mountain Road in Earl Township, Berks County, PA, is a beautiful 78-acre site and a wonderful place to schedule a summer picnic.

The Earl Township Park was designed as a community park, but with hilly terrain we are limited as to the facilities the Township can provide. We have tried to fit in a variety of facilities that would work well in our park and provide interest to our residents at any age.

Please assist us in taking care of this beautiful treasure. If you are using the pavilions and picnic tables, please take the extra time to clean up your area, and dispose of all trash in the trash dumpster.

The Earl Township Park is open daily from dawn until dusk, weather permitting.

Park Pavilions

Dogs are permitted on the walking trails only, they must be on a leash at all times and you must clean up after your dog(s).

There are a total of 3 Pavilions located at the Earl Township Park.

Each Pavilion offers its own beautiful view of the park. All pavilions have electrical outlets and small charcoal grills for cooking. Attached to pavilion A is a kitchen, complete with a stove, sink and refrigerator. This can be rented for an additional fee which is listed on the application.

Pavilions can be reserved at the Earl Township Park by contacting the Earl Township Municipal Office at 610-367-9673. Renting a pavilion is only for the specific pavilion - all facilities are always open to the public.

Park Amenities

The Earl Township Park Offers a Wide Variety of activities for those of all ages:

Three Baseball/Soccer Fields

The ball fields are on a 1st come-1st serve basis when not in use by thePine Forge Athletic Association. Pine Forge Athletic Association offers Spring Baseball and Fall Soccer at the Earl Township Park.

Challenging Paved Walking Trail

The trail is approximately one mile long. Please be advised that this trail has hilly and uneven terrain through fields and wooded areas. Walking on the trail is at your own risk!

Two Playground Areas

A younger child play area is located next to Pavilion B. An older child play area is located next to Pavilion C.

New Pickle Ball Courts

Located in the lower field (was ball field) you must supply your own equipment (paddles,balls etc.)

Sand Volleyball Court

It is the responsibility of the people using the court to check the conditions of the sand prior to use for safety conditions and cleanliness.

One Set of Horseshoe Pits and Two Sets of Quoit Pits

You must bring your own horseshoes and quoits.

Two Basketball Nets

Located near Pavilion C at the Earl Township Park.

9-Hole Frisbee Golf Course

Located off of the walking trail.

Manatawny Recreation Area

The Manatawny Recreation Area is located on Manatawny Road along the Manatawny Creek. It is a perfect spot to do some fishing and some picnicking. Please be aware that in times of heavy rainfall, the Manatawny Creek can get very high and some flooding of the area is possible.
